Research, Clinical, and/or Academic Interests

Dr. Liang’s clinical interests include surgical and endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysm/dissection and peripheral arterial disease including lower extremity, visceral, and carotid disease. His primary research focus is on utilizing large datasets and novel methods to determine comparative effectiveness of interventions, population trends, and prediction models. His methodologic interests are in application of complex statistical and machine learning methods to observational or retrospective data for causal inference and prediction, while clinically his research focuses on surgical and endovascular treatment for aortic pathology and interventions for acute pulmonary embolism.
