Research, Clinical, and/or Academic Interests
Dr. Pingpank’s interests and expertise include the treatment of patients with primary and metastatic gastrointestinal cancers, including tumors of the stomach, small bowel, colon, and liver. Additionally, he has a specific interest in regional treatment strategies for advanced malignancies of the liver and peritoneal cavity, including:
- Placement of hepatic arterial infusion pumps for patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and unresectable colorectal metastases to the liver
- Isolated hepatic perfusion with melphalan for patients with metastatic ocular melanoma to the liver
- Cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC for patients with peritoneal metastases from mucinous tumors of the appendix, colorectal cancer, and primary peritoneal mesothelioma
