Changes to peripheral and allograft T-cell subset differentiation after regulatory dendritic cell (DCreg) therapy in liver transplantation / Cellular mechanisms at play in the immune/inflammatory response to trauma and subsequent MODS

Date

January 19, 2021 - 9:00am

Event Description

"Changes to peripheral and allograft T-cell subset differentiation after regulatory dendritic cell (DCreg) therapy in liver transplantation?"
Presenter: Dr. Lillian Tran (advisors: Drs. Abhinav Humar and Angus Thomson

DCregs have demonstrated potential in modulating recipient T-cell mediated alloimmune response in liver transplant pre-clinical models. Dr. Tran will present updated clinical and mechanistic data up to 1-year post transplant from an ongoing early phase clinical trial evaluating the changes in peripheral and allograft tissue immune cell populations after DCreg administration in living donor liver transplant patients

"Cellular mechanisms at play in the immune/inflammatory response to trauma and subsequent MODS"
Presenter: Dr. Jillian Bonaroti (advisors: Drs. Timothy Billiar and Matthew Neal)

Dr. Bonaroti will update the group on two of her larger projects investigating cellular responses to trauma within the bone marrow, those being 1) mouse megakaryocyte transcriptional response to trauma and 2) the CORE study. She will also talk about temporal patterns in the lymphocyte response to shock, focusing on a novel subset of lymphocytes with increased expression of heat shock proteins.
