Steven Evans, MD, FACS participated in the UPMC McKeesport Breast Cancer Town Hall, “Embracing the Power of Early Detection” on September 7, 2019. The educational event addressed breast cancer disparity impacting African-American women and served as a forum for breast cancer survivors to share their experiences, strength, and hope regarding their breast cancer journeys. Dr. Evans served on a panel of expert clinicians on hand to discuss the importance of screening and early detection and presented the lecture, "Understanding the Breast Cancer Disparity Impacting African American Women."
