Presenter: Christof Kaltenmeier, MD (mentors: Drs. Samer Tohme, David Geller, Timothy Billiar, and Michele Molinari)

During this presentation, Dr. Kaltenmeier will focus on the major basic science and clinical projects that he was part of during the last three years. During the basic science portion, he will talk about inflammation in hepatocellular carcinoma or metastatic cancer to the liver, mediators, and possible treatment strategies. In the clinical portion, he will talk about liver transplant organ allocation, risk stratification, and comparison of outcomes in deceased and living donor liver transplant recipients.
