Dr. Callie Hlavin, MD

Title: Clinical projects in bariatric surgery… and beyond

As we continue to harness the power of telemedicine, I will give an update on data related to the “Total Telemedicine Pathway” in bariatric surgery. I will also discuss a new project which aims to model the risk pattern of weight regain and ventral hernia recurrence after concomitant laparoscopic bariatric surgery and ventral hernia repair. Finally, I will touch on a clinical project in surgical oncology investigating the clinical outcomes and prognostic effect of genetic markers on cytoreductive surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastases.
