On Friday, September 13, 2019, Amer H. Zureikat, MD, FACS and his pancreatic surgery staff attended the National Pancreas Foundation “Courage for a Cure” Gala in Pittsburgh. Dr. Zureikat introduced Aatur D. Singhi, MD, PhD, who received the foundation’s Excellence in Science Award. Proceeds from the event, which raised over $53,000, went to the National Pancreas Foundation, an organization providing hope for those suffering from pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer through funding cutting-edge research, advocating for new and better therapies, and providing support and education for patients, caregivers, and health-care professionals.
